The PCF is open to approaches from anyone in Phuket, whatever their needs or plans. Each request for funds will be examined by the PCF board to see whether it meets the following criteria:

     • It will improve the quality of life for some or all of the people in Phuket.
     • It is well thought-out.
     • The applicants have an effective plan to reach their goal.
     • They have the people to achieve this goal.
     • They can establish mechanisms to ensure that the project will be
transparent.

If the proposal meets these criteria, the PCF will support it from funds it already has, or will seek funding from donors who have shown that they are likely to support such a project.

Let us be clear: The PCF does not do the work. It finds the funds, makes suggestions, finds experts who are willing to help and keeps an eye on the project on behalf of the donors.

But it is up to those who make the proposal to put the funds to work in an effective way to achieve their desired ends.
